The Laboratory of Control and Automation (LCA) is located at the Four Floor of the "ex Architettura" building, which includes offices of the Department of Electrical and Information Engineering (DEI) in the Polytechnic of Bari.
From the Campus entrance located in Orabona Street, you can find the structure on your left, just after the "Attilio Alto" Auditorium of the Polytechnic University of Bari.

How to get to LCA

Just outside the railway station and the airport you will find a taxi station. From the railway station the trip by taxi to LCA takes about 10 minutes and should cost around 10 €. From the airport the trip by taxi takes around 30 minutes and it costs around 25 €.

From piazza A. Moro (where the railway station is located) take city bus n. 21. The bus takes you to access B of the Campus in Via Re David, ask the bus driver to tell you when to get off the bus. Note that you cannot buy tickets on board of a city bus. You may purchase them at the bus service stand close to the bus terminal outside of the station. One-way ticket costs 1 €. Tickets must be validated upon boarding the bus.

From piazza A. Moro (where the railway station is located) walk through one of the underground roads up to via G. Capruzzi, continue on your left up to viale Unità d'Italia, go straight along viale Unità d'Italia for about 700 meters. Walk on the left through via G. De Ruggiero for about 100 m, than on the right along via Re David. Go straight up for about 100 meters and you will get to access B of the Campus, on Via Re David 200. The overall distance is about 1.5 km and will take you about 15 minutes on foot.
From the airport you can get to the railway station either by bus using the dedicated Tempesta Bus or by train FerroTramviaria SpA. Note that the bus takes you to the railway station with no stops in about 25 / 30 minutes and costs € 4.00. Moreover, it is possible to bui the ticket on board.
On the other hand, the train takes you to the railway station in about 15 minutes and costs € 5.00.
Once you are at the railway station, follow the above indications to get to LCA, catching city bus 21 or reaching us on foot.
Bari has good daily connections with all the main Italian cities by the Trenitalia FS trains. Bari is also connected to the other Apulian cities by several regional trains (Ferrovie Sud-Est, Ferrotramviaria:Bari-Barletta, Ferrovie Appulo-Lucane). The central railway station, from which the Trenitalia FS trains depart, is located in Piazza A. Moro, where also the bus terminal is located.
Once you get at the railway station by train, follow the above indications to get to LCA on foot or by taxi or catching city bus 21.
To get to Bari, take the A14 motorway from the north or from Taranto, the state route 100 from Taranto or the state route 16 from the north or from the south. By the A14 motorway, leave the highway at junction Bari Nord, the Campus is approx 20 km away. Go on until you take the bypass towards Brindisi and then follow the directions for exit 13A (direction Bari-San Pasquale). After the exit go along via Amendola straight down until the third traffic light. Turn left on viale Einaudi, and at the second traffic light turn right to via Salvemini. Go along via Salvemini until access A of the Campus.
By the state route 100, after crossing the junction with the Bari bypass you are directly on via Amendola and can follow the above directions to the Campus.
By the state route 16, follow directions for exit 13A (direction Bari-San Pasquale), after which you are directly on via Amendola and can follow the above directions to the Campus.
Note that to access the Campus by car you will be asked for an authorization. Ask us to get such a permission, otherwise you will have to park the car outside the Campus in the nearby parking areas.
